George co-founded Agrifoodtech Venture firm Astanor Ventures, with long-term Partner Eric Archambeau, following 30 years in technology investment worldwide. He also advises: Finch Capital, Crane Venture Partners, and ProFounders Capital. Before, he was Chairman of Rome-based Octo Telematics. George was previously Head of Venture Capital of Good Energies (Clean energy), board member of Aventron (renewable energy utility) and co-founder of Benchmark Capital Europe (now Balderton Capital). Prior to that, he was at Intel Corporation leading the M&A group which made over 200 investments and eventually became Intel Capital. Sample transactions where he has been an investor include Broadcom and Citrix (US), PCCW (China), Trend Micro (Japan) and Betfair, LoveFilm and ZOPA (UK). Before Intel, George was an investment banker with Nomura Securities, working with the technology industry in Silicon Valley and Japan. George serves on the board of Human Rights Watch, as well as the American Air Museum in Britain. He is a lifetime Fellow of the RSA. He was a Trustee and graduate (MBA) of The George Washington University. George also holds a B.S. from The American University.
