Thomas Balkizas stands at the forefront of AI and Healthcare, currently serving as Senior Director of global Life Sciences at Microsoft. His mission is to accelerate AI transformation across the life sciences sector with Microsoft's pioneering technologies and vast partner network. Thomas's career includes strategic positions at IBM Watson Health, IQVIA and AWS, where he championed AI healthcare integration. His expertise spans Genomics, Real World Evidence, Clinical Trials, and Digital Health.

Thomas holds an MEng in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering from NTUA, an MSc in Engineering and Physical Science in Medicine from Imperial College London, and executive education from Harvard Business School in Public Health, and MIT in Machine Learning in Business Strategy.
